If you enjoyed the swaggerific (and uncharacteristic) single "Radio," you're in for a treat. But if you're looking for signature Soulchild, you won't be disappointed either. On Onmyradio, Musiq changes enough to impress, but not to distress longtime fans. The Philly soulman lays on the emotion a little thick, but he makes adjustments. "Backagain" looks to the boom-bap sounds of yore, while "Moneyright" is reminiscent of Outkast's "Bombs Over Baghdad." "Sobeautiful" is a Musiq instant classic, and duets with Mary J. Blige ("Ifuleave") and Damian Marley ("Iwannabe") are winners.
