It's not like Jeezy watered down his message for 2005's crackalicious Thug Motivation, but this mixtape is extra raw. Jeezy sounds like a man unhinged; greed and paranoia peek through the cracks. "I know Gods watching over me," he declares on "I'm Back," quickly adding, "And so are the Feds." The ATL emcee is caught in the society of surveillance, and he only sees one way out. Evoking Biggie, he declares, "I'm ready to die/ life after death/ who needs the stress." Whether or not you subscribe to Jeezy's coked-out worldview, nearly every line on Snowman is quotable.
