These hardcore metalheads' fourth release features a barrage of non-groovy groove metal, punishingly heavy hardcore and technically unsound metalcore – in other words, these guys are not nerds. Bury Your Dead is truly an old-fashioned hardcore band gone metal, interested only in unleashing vituperative power, not time changes and definitely not anything below insanity-producing levels of volume. One warning: frontman Myke Terry does drop the Soilent Green Ben Falgoust routine and, uh, sings (kind of) on "Fever Dream."
