Of the four Kiss solo albums released simultaneously in October 1978, Paul Stanley's is the most Kiss-like, almost seeming like an official release, with big blowsy choruses chocked full of macho hooks -- something he's been excelling at for years, reaching his creative apex on the Kiss hit "Detroit Rock City." While this album isn't as ambitious, there are moments of genius, especially on a song like "Tonight You Belong to Me," and the saucy yet sage "Wouldn't You Like To Know Me." The only one of the Kiss solo albums to contain all originals.
