Opening with an eleven-minute track that riffs on the album title's theme, New York's Antibalas leaps into Fela Kuti's shoes and, if we can be sacrilegious, pretty much fills them. The grooves linger but never get boring, the politics are out-front ("Pay Back Africa") and for all their reverence of Kuti, this is no cover band. They make Afrobeat absolutely fresh.
