Remember when the 69 Boyz's "Tootsie Roll" was the jam? Atlanta's D4L (Down 4 Life) sure do and their novelty hit "Laffy Taffy" plays like an updated version of it with a little less bass but ample candy metaphors for young ladies' assets. With their simple but melodic Nelly-esque raps, sparse Afroman-style beats and rather provocative pillow-fighting video, the group earned a lot of airtime in the summer/fall of 2005.
