Robert Becker

Brooklyn singer-songwriter and multi instrumentalist proudly refers to himself as a folksinger, which is only partially correct. Becker's background includes stints playing keyboards for chart toppers the Gin Blossoms and Arizona cult rockers The Sand Rubies and Luminarios. His own material features plaintive tenor singing, strummed acoustic guitar, and subtle band support that includes atmospheric steel guitar playing. Becker avoids any easy Alt Country traps with his straight-forward delivery and melodies that zig where you would expect them to zag. Shows a firm grounding in pop.
