The Wolfgang Press

Britain's Wolfgang Press are a chameleon of sorts, creeping through noisy gloom and doom, twisted balladry, and darkly danceable songs with equal aplomb. They've even taken stabs at Funk and soul over the years (singer/production force Michael Allen is a fervent Motown enthusiast). Since 1983, the mutation of these styles has often successfully led to oddly charming productions full of digital treats and noisy meltdowns.
