At 10 albums in, Tori Amos is far from running out of ideas. It's both a blessing and a hindrance on Abnormally Attracted to Sin, which jumps from dark, ambient downtempo ("Give," "Flavor," "Starling," "Lady in Blue") to orchestral alt ("Welcome to England," "Maybe California") to kitschy cabaret ("That Guy") to a song about "Mary Jane" (she bakes brownies!). It's a manic bunch, which fits Tori's proclivity for taking on multiple personalities; and while that capriciousness is part of her charm, it also can overpower the siren's lyrical intellect and still impeccable feisty croons.
