While his name may evoke Downton Abbey, Orlando Higginbottom doesn't stand on ceremony in his solo work as Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs. "Trouble" is a perfect distillation of all the slightly incongruous elements that make his work notable: keening ambient pads, blunt-nosed club bass, glancing tropical elements and clunky electro-disco rhythms, all overlaid with an understated mumble that nevertheless gets deep inside your skin. The single, the perfect combination of perky and downcast, gets diverse goings-over from Jamie Jones, Lapalux and Chad Valley. Plus, there is birdsong.
